Workshop GHG Protocol Agrícola: Apresentação da ferramenta de cálculo de emissões de GEE para o agronegócio brasileiro

Objetivos:

Apresentação da versão preliminar da ferramenta de cálculo do Projeto GHG Protocol Agrícola, desenvolvida através de uma parceria entre EMBRAPA, UNICAMP e WRI, com foco na contabilização de emissões de Gases de Efeito Estufa (GEE) do agronegócio brasileiro;
Responder dúvidas e coletar inputs dos presentes em relação às funcionalidades, abrangência e facilidade de uso da ferramenta;
Analisar os principais desafios para o monitoramento dos impactos do Programa ABC para a redução de emissões de GEE na agropecuária brasileira;
Discutir as possíveis contribuições do Projeto GHG Protocol Agrícola e, especificamente, da ferramenta de cálculo para um sistema de monitoramento dos resultados do Programa ABC.

Objectives:

Present the preliminary version of the calculation tool of the GHG Protocol Agricultural Project, developed through a partnership amongst EMBRAPA, UNICAMP and WRI, and focused on the calculation of the greenhouse gas emissions of Brazilian agribusiness;
Answer questions and obtain participants’ feedback regarding the tool’s functionality, scope, and ease of use;
Analyze the main challenges in monitoring the emissions reductions from Brazilian agriculture under the ABC Program;
Discuss the possible contributions of the GHG Protocol Agricultural Project, and specifically the calculation tool, to a system for monitoring the results of the ABC Program.
