Going Green Conference - Delivering on Paris
In close cooperation with the Climate Action Summit, the European Union is organizing the Going Green EU flagship climate action event to highlight and promote the green economy as a formidable transatlantic opportunity for economic growth, innovation, and climate action. This one-day conference is scheduled for Wednesday May 4th, 2016, and will take place at the world-famous Newseum in downtown Washington DC.
By organizing the Going Green conference at the beginning of the Climate Action Summit, the EU brings a particular focus on the critical role played by the EU and the U.S. in securing the Paris Agreement and on the need for a strong transatlantic partnership to ensure its successful implementation.
The Going Green conference will aim at mobilizing the private sector, engaging European and U.S. public authorities, and demonstrating EU and U.S. leadership when it comes to climate action.
