International boundaries (NIMA, 1997), district administrative boundaries (UBOS, 2006a), subcounty administrative boundaries (UBOS, 2002a), water bodies (NFA, 1996; NIMA, 1997; Brakenridge et al., 2006), and tsetse distribution (Wint, 2001).
It is estimated that some 70 percent of Uganda is infested with 11 species of tsetse, each of which occupies a different ecological niche. This map shows the aggregate distribution of three tsetse species in Uganda – glossina fuscipes fuscipes, g. pallidipes, and g. morsitans submorsitans.
