Welcome to the EarthTrends Podcast
EarthTrends Podcasts are assembled by artists, scientists and activists concerned about global warming.
These podcasts are the result of a collaboration between the World Resources Institute, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, StopGlobalWarming.org and concerned musicians.
Over the course of the next 6 months, we will produce monthly podcasts with artist interviews, ways you can "green" your lifestyle, the latest news on global warming, and--of course--great music.
What is Global Warming?
The earth's climate system is the product of a delicate balance. The atmosphere naturally traps just enough heat in the atmosphere to keep the temperature within a very narrow range. That balance has been destabilized by an increase in the concentration of heat-trapping emissions sometimes called "greenhouse gases" in the atmosphere.
On EarthTrends, you can find many resources to understand the causes and effects of climate change. Click "Climate and Atmosphere" on the header bar above, or look to the EarthTrends Climate Change Information Guide for a synopsis of information on this site.

Recently, a number of nations have approved an addition to the treaty: the Kyoto Protocol, which has more powerful (and legally binding) measures. |
