| Abstract: This report constitutes one more step in the implementation of the national MDG agenda which is derived from the Regional Forum of June 2002 in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) dedicated to an action campaign in favourof MDGs, notably in its No.1 component ?Measuring, monitoring and evaluating progress towards MDGs targets.? This is the third such report after those published officially in June 2001 and in April 2003. This follows especially from the observed persistent spatial disparity of poverty as revealed by the findingsof ECAM II (Cameroon Household Survey) published in August 2002. Its relevance lies in the prospect that through it, development of local administrative units will be better targeted in such a way as to provide anappropriate response thereto. In addition, this report, which is in line with the spirit that prevailed during the production of provincial socio-economic studies, ties in perfectly with the process of monitoring of PRSP implementation. |
