WRI Forum: Guidelines on Carbon Capture and Sequestration

WRI has worked with experts in the Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) field to develop draft guidelines for all phases of CCS projects: Capture, Transport, Site Characterization, Operations and Closure. WRI’s CCS project aims to build stakeholder consensus on policies and procedures for safe and effective deployment of CCS technology, as well as to disseminate the information developed in this process to inform and engage the public.

This forum is the first step in a broad stakeholder review of the draft CCS guidelines. It will include an overview and update of the WRI CCS guideline development process, including a summary of the draft guidelines for each CCS project phase.
