About Alex
Alexander (Alex) Doukas is a Research Analyst with the International Financial Flows and the Environment Project in the Institutions and Governance Program. His work focuses on international climate and environmental finance institutions, and on access to sustainable energy for all.

Alex has previously worked with the Pembina Institute, Canada’s leading sustainable energy think tank, where he worked extensively on energy and climate policy issues in Canada and beyond, conducting analysis on electricity policy. More recently, Alex has worked on energy access, rural electrification, and appropriate technology issues in Bhutan and Lao PDR.
Alex holds an MSc from the University of Oxford in Environmental Change and Management, where his dissertation focused on local adaptive capacity and development interventions in Humla, Nepal. He has a B.A. with Majors in Environmental Policy & Practice and English from the University of Toronto.
