About Caitlin
As Research Analyst for WRI’s Forest Legality project, Caitlin is part of a team that will build capacity within the forest product supply chain to comply with new laws aimed at reducing global demand for illegal wood (such as the U.S. Lacey Act), demonstrate enforcement of these laws, and encourage replication of these laws in major forest product importing countries.
Caitlin started at WRI as an intern with the Southern Forests for the Future team. A suburban Atlanta native, she holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Yale University, where she studied tropical landscape conservation and governance of natural resources in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Before coming to WRI, she worked with Hispanic community organizations to improve local environmental quality.
