Elsie Vélez Whited, Grants and Contracts Director provides fiscal and compliance management oversight and technical assistance for all matters relating to WRI’s grants, contracts, and sub-agreements portfolio.

Ms. Vélez joined WRI in 1993 and previously held financial and administration positions at the Fund for Private Assistance in International Development, Appropriate Technology International, the American Association of Hispanic Certified Public Accountants, the White House, and the United States General Accounting Office. Ms. Vélez has over 30 years of experience in finance and administration.
