Johannes is the Online Data and Communications Specialist in the Climate and Energy Program (CEP). He works on implementation of CAIT 2.0 and supports CEP’s overall online strategy. He also helps coordinate WRI’s communications together with External Relations by promoting CEP activities through social media.

Johannes has a background in sustainability science and computer science. He has worked in diverse fields, applying his technical knowledge to marine ecology in Egypt, working on New Media in France, and analyzing global integrated models in Sweden. In the past he worked with HEPCA, an Egyptian environmental NGO; the Stockholm Resilience Center; and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research.
Johannes received a B.Sc. in Computer Science in from University of Nuremberg, Germany and a M.Sc. in Sustainability Science from Linköping University, Sweden.
As a curious human being who enjoys the outdoors he likes hiking, cycling, diving, sailing, climbing and more.
