Leah is a Research Associate with NUMO (New Urban Mobility Alliance) and the Electric School Bus Initiative, where she conducts research on emerging mobility trends including electric vehicles, ridehailing and micromobility, and leads data collection on the adoption of electric school buses. She joined World Resources Institute in 2017 as Research Analyst for the Coalition for Urban Transitions, where she researched how national governments can foster sustainable, inclusive cities for the flagship Climate Emergency, Urban Opportunity report. Since then, Leah worked on the intersection of circular economy and climate with PACE (Platform for Accelerating the Circular Economy), and was part of WRI's International Climate team, where she authored resources on just transitions to a zero-carbon future, including over 30 case studies for the Just Transition and Equitable Climate Action Resource Center.

Before joining WRI, Leah worked on Siemens' Urban Development team in London, where she developed a quantitative model estimating infrastructure requirements for electric transportation. She previously worked in the food systems field, including a Jewish food justice non-profit in Philadelphia and volunteer roles on Philadelphia’s Food Policy Advisory Council and the Board of Directors of Fair Food Philadelphia.

She holds an M.Sc. in Regional and Urban Planning Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.A. in Food System Studies from Tufts University.

Leah lives in Washington DC and enjoys baking, spending time in nature, yoga, and exploring the city.
