About Lizzette
Lizzette is the program coordinator for EMBARQ’s Latin America and FedEx Program. She brings a diversity of experiences in project management, evaluation and research that she developed throughout her academic and professional experience.

Prior to joining WRI, Lizzette worked as a development advisor with Oxfam-Quebec in Honduras where she provided technical support and capacity building in strategic planning and youth empowerment. Previously, she contributed to the management of the Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility at the UN in Rome and co-published two global reports on safer cities while working at the International Centre for the prevention of Crime in Montreal.
Lizzette earned a dual MSc in Urban Development and International Cooperation from the Technical University of Darmstadt and the University of Rome Tor Vergata, funded by the European Union’s Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. She also holds an honors BA degree in International Development and Sociology from McGill University.
Lizzette has lived in Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Honduras, Italy, Germany, and Canada. During her free time she enjoys traveling, writing alternative city guides, discovering new recipes and surfing.
