Sebastian Castellanos
Senior Manager, Technical Assistance, Electric School Bus Initiative.
Sebastian is the Senior Manager, School District E-Mobility Technical Assistance with the Electric School Bus Initiative. He works to help bring together people and resources to facilitate the nationwide transition of all school buses from diesel to electric. Additionally, Sebastian works across multiple WRI teams on projects focused on reducing CO2 emissions from the transport sector.
In addition to his work at WRI, Sebastian is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Leeds, where he is looking at the role of governance and regulation in shared mobility. Sebastian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), a Master’s Degree (Project Management and Technology) from the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne (France) and an MSc. in Transport Planning and the Environment, from the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds (UK).
In his free time, Sebastian enjoys cycling, cooking, and spending time with his family.
