Prior to working at WRI, Wendi worked in several non-profit organizations in administrative and development roles. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Albania, where she worked with NGOs focused on women’s rights, children’s development, and environmental lobbying. While in Albania, she recognized the links between economic development and environmental integrity and decided to pursue graduate study to better understand the links. She has conducted research on ensuring the rights of vulnerable people in the forestry mechanism of the climate regime and engaging US faith communities in climate advocacy.
Wendi holds a Masters of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and B.A. in French from Georgetown College.
Wendi enjoys hiking, playing with her dog, and watching classic movies with her husband, Will.
